Tess, Very well written. I like the premise roots before flowers. I like to think I can apply it in my Spiritual growth. Thanks, D

Absolutely Dave. It’s how it’s landing for me as well.

Powerful quote and speaks to us who live in the Western World so powerfully and we are generally focused on being productive.

This season “FALL” holds powerful messages around this for me. I am being asked to tend to my roots, nourish myself more deeply (REST) so when spring comes, and it will, I will have the resources to bear delicious fruit from which to nourish myself and the world.

If the trees need this, so do I.

The Earth Remedy: Let fall what falls, don’t rush to grow new fruit…when the time is right, fruit grows.

Lack of ancestral roots is so relatable! I wish I had more information on where I came from. I love the framework you build in this note. 🌿💚

Thank you so much for your comment! So glad it resonated. Yeah it’s something so much of us struggle with in the modern day! I wonder about our descendants and how much video and photo content they will have!

Yes! Oh my goodness, I just wrote an extremely similar piece. Seems like many of us are (appropriately) musing on the unseen in Scorpio Season. I find the metaphor of plants so striking, even though some might say obvious, and loved your image of the deer, your garden, and your dad.

I thought of myself as a tumbleweed, cut off from my roots and blowing around. When I look at my family tree, I think maybe the roots are there after all. We are a wandering breed. Maybe a creeper or vine of some type, throwing down roots and shoots that keep going.

I love that, yeah there are lots of cultures that are more wanderers. So the roots are in the journey itself. Very interesting thanks for sharing 💜

You literally described my feelings 😭🫶🏽 Thank you for writing and sharing.

my mother and I celebrate day of the dead so writing to them and ancestors as a way to feel connected… I never thought about that, especially to those we can’t trace back to! 🤯

My green thumb friend always had me cut off the flowers upon taking a new plant home and planting it. For this exact reason. 🤓🌱🥰
